Surrey Driver CPC training company gets the nod

Surrey Driver CPC Well done to Surrey based E.P. Training Services, (members of the HGVLGV training network) on receiving a glowing report following a recent unannounced Driver CPC JAUPT audit.

The audit which was carried out at EP Trainings main training centre in Bookham, Surrey lasted 3 hours and focused on trainer instructor ability. The assessment was carried out on 16th January 2012 and the course was entitled Driver Hours. A total of 21 drivers attended.

The Auditor comments were as follows
The auditor was afforded every opportunity to observe the training, interview trainers and trainees and to review any necessary documentation. The training observed was conducted in a suitable room, providing for a safe and conducive environment in which the learning could take place. The training observed being delivered conformed to the programme approved by JAUPT.

The required administration was carried out including licence and ID checking. Certificates of attendance are issued to drivers. Drivers are invited to complete a course evaluation form at the end of the training day.
The training aids used were found to be fit for purpose and used effectively to support the trainer’s delivery of the subject matter. The training delivered was found to be technically sound and was also found to be relevant to the learners employment.

The trainer observed was able to demonstrate the required level of skill and expertise in the delivery of training. The drivers interviewed reacted positively to questions regarding the usefulness and relevance of the training and the manner in which it was delivered.

Overall a very good example of Driver CPC Periodic Training was observed.

Once again, well done to EP Training on getting a clean bill of health. Sean Pargeter, Director at EP Training says “it’s good to see that the number of audits being carried out has increased in recent times. It is a little concerning however that the audits appear not to be targeted as well as they could be.

Take EP for example. We have been audited (to date) on three separate occasions yet there still remain approved centres that have not been audited once. If we have been visited and been given a clean bill of health why (in our case) do we need another audit within 8 weeks? It makes no sense”.

EP Training has been an approved Driver CPC Periodic training centre since 2008. They offer a wide variety of JAUPT approved, 7 hour Driver CPC courses aimed at the HGV and PCV driver.

In fact with EP you can do the “whole 35 hours” in just one week. Each month EP training run 5 consecutive 7 hours courses which cover the following subjects:
Driver Hours, Vehicle and Load Safety and Security, Drivers Legal Obligations, Accident Prevention, Reporting and Basic First Aid and Customer Care and Defensive Driving.

Courses fees are extremely competitive and customers can book and order their courses online via the EP Training website.
