We have many years experience within the HGV/LGV training industry and know first-hand what it takes to achieve HGV/LGV entitlement. Our staff all have HGV/LGV, CPC (Driver and Operator), FLT, ADR (licence to carry dangerous goods)entitlement / qualification. We are not a Broker. We are not a middleman.

What is DSA and RTITB approved instruction?
There is no mandatory qualification required for HGV/LGV instructors. Currently only three years licence entitlement is sufficient. The DSA (Driving Standards Agency) introduced a voluntary register to the HGV training industry several years ago (with a view to making it mandatory). Although the approval scheme is voluntary it is regarded as the benchmark within the transport training industry. The majority of independent training providers will invest in DSA approval, although it is not a legal requirement. The DSA approval is aimed at recognising achievement of the professional instructor. To join the register an instructor must demonstrate his competence by passing theory and practical tests in HGV/LGV instruction. To ensure quality and consistency DSA Instructors must renew their approval every 4 years. Other instructor qualifications include RTITB (Road Transport Industry Training Board), ITTSAR, etc. You can find out more about getting DSA approval by going to our "useful links page".
